Dish 3m
3m Dish
This 3m dish has not been used for more than 5 years: covered with mosses and dirt. Removing the dish from the backyard and cleaning with high-pressure cleaner.
Cleaning and moving the dish to the field, lifting with 1T chain hoist.
the original suspension does not fit! I now have to figure out a way to make the dish fit for this support
The side plates are removed with an angle splitter, drilling through 20mm steel with the magnetic drill
After drilling the THVZ 8.8. m16 thread ends fitting perfectly... the dish is positioned in the center of the base
The elevation of the dish is also custom made with a pivot swivel. Next step is drilling 14mm and M16 thread tapping into the stainless steel.
M16 wire ends will be used to match the direction from PA1A to QO-100 which will be exactly 26,67 degrees elevation and an azimuth of 156,89 degrees
Roughen the plate with a steel brush on the angle grinder. Then using special 2-component paint.
Threaded rod installed with double stainless steel nuts. loosening the M16 nut and rough setting with the protractor to 25 degrees elevation turning the threaded rod.
